Welcome back to free agency! Now that teams are allowed to begin talks with this year’s class of free agents, we at The Next are bringing you fun, original, informative resources, continuing with our third-annual free agency predictions. A cadre of our reporters, analysts and contributors submitted their thoughts on how 2025 WNBA free agency might play out. We looked at recent markets, team cap sheets and league trends to help set some expectations for impending offseason moves across the league. Where will Satou Sabally end up? Their average contract projections and team predictions are visible with breakdowns as well as our responses for contract length and a histogram to show the distribution of average annual values (AAV, i.e. salaries). Age and position information is included by relevance to the 2025 WNBA season (i.e. how old and which position the player will be for most of the season).
