The Dallas Wings traded forward Kristine Anigwe and a 2021 third round pick to the Los Angeles Sparks for a second round pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. The Wings sent back the 2021 second round pick Los Angeles received from the Wings in exchange for Marina Mabrey, the team announced Tuesday.

Anigwe was originally the No. 9 pick in the 2019 WNBA draft by the Connecticut Sun. She appeared in 27 games, averaging 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, after being acquired by Dallas back on August 6, 2019.

Samuelson appeared in just four games last season for the Wings and averaged 12 minutes per game in those appearances.

Dallas, along with the rest of the league, has trimmed its roster to either 11 or 12 players to meet the May 26 league-imposed deadline. Players begin getting paid on June 1.

The Wings also waived Kaela Davis last month and Morgan Bertsch on Friday afternoon.

Players cut on or a few days before the deadline on May 26 will get benefits until June 30, as reported by Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press.
