Introducing… The Next Live

In addition to increasing the coverage for women’s sports and women’s basketball at The IX and at The Next, we’re going to keep on discussing with you how we do it. That’s why for our first edition of The Next Live will be focused on how we’ve honored Black history, and what we can do to take that effort to the next level.

In honor of Black History Month, we are going to encourage our staff and our subscribers (you!) to join us and talk about what Black History means to you, and what’s been your favorite story centering Black women since we launched. And we encourage everyone to be ready to share how we can improve our coverage of Black folks in the women’s basketball space.

Come with some stories and suggestions as we celebrate Black history. This subscriber-only chat is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23 at 7 p.m. ET.

Thank you for subscribing to The Next, where 24/7/365 women’s basketball coverage is our mission. Our young and diverse staff is dedicated to bringing this game the breaking news, analysis, historical deep dives, and projections that it deserves.

We look forward to having this meaningful conversation with you all that will not only reflect on Black history in the context of women’s basketball but will inform us as to how we can better cover Black stories moving forward.
