The Wildcats and Lady Raiders continue to bolster up for the future
Kansas State picks up 2022 and Texas Tech picks up 2021 commits
One week after getting a 2022 commit from Mikayla Parks, Kansas State secured their second one for the class, Eliza Maupin from Webster Grove, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis.

The 6’3 PF/C is a menace in the paint. She has the ability to create her own shot down low. Her awareness down low allows her to secure offensive rebounds and get easy buckets that make it look effortless.
Take this game vs. Kirkwood for example. Her post awareness and ability to fake out her opponents to get contested layups will allow her to bring more post versatility and size.
As a sophomore, she averaged 10.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game, proving that she will be a problem for opponents on the defensive end.
Down south in Lubbock, the Lady Raiders also picked up a forward in 6’4 Lana Wenger from Walnut Creek, Ca. by ways of Hersberg, Switzerland.
Wenger is very versatile on both the offensive and defensive sides. At the 14 second mark of this highlight reel against Mission San Jose, Wenger nails a three from way outside the line, proving that she can be both and inside and outside scoring threat.
As a sophomore in 2018-2019, Wenger averaged 13.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.6 steals per game. She is an overall well-rounded player who has the ability to positively impact the game on both ends of the floor through her post play, outside shooting and defensive IQ.
