Mitchell talks about the remainder of the ACC regular season and what stands out the most:

“Yeah, I think what stands out to me is how, just top to bottom, how competitive the league has been. You know, this has been a league probably the past three to four years because Notre Dame was down for a little bit there, when Muffet McGraw’s final year and then when she stepped away, it was a league that was really NC State and Louisville at the top and then kind of everybody else jockeying for third place.

But there’s like six teams that could win this league. And it’s been really fun to watch and it should make for a very interesting final month of the season and then going into tournament time in Greensboro.”

Mitchell talks about Florida State’s surprising success:

“Yeah, very surprised. I think I don’t know if I said it on our preseason podcast or not. But I was kind of wondering if Florida State would have what it took to make the NCAA tournament this year. Clearly, that is not the case. To be honest, before the season started, I didn’t know a ton about Ta’Niya Latson, but she is the real deal. She is certainly going to win ACC Rookie of the Year. She might be the best freshman in the country and win the National Freshman of the Year award. And yeah, she’s certainly probably in the running for ACC Player of the Year. She’s averaging 22 points per game. But yeah, they’ve had some other pieces stuff up as well.”
