Megdal opens the show by asking Amoore how she managed to arrive at Kentucky for her final season. “As soon as I heard that [Brooks] got the [head coach] job, that sparked a little interest in me,” Amoore says. “I was at a position where I was making my decision. But ultimately, as my number one, he just improved me as a player immensely.”
Megdal and Amoore continue to talk about the relationship she has with Brooks, a relationship she has built over the course of many years. Megdal asks Amoore how he reacted to her choice to come to Kentucky. “There was no pressure,” Amoore clarifies. “That gave me the freedom to be a little bit more relaxed. And eventually, when I told him, it was like, alright, next page, let’s get to work. We were both excited for something new, something exciting.”

Megdal and Amoore ultimately close out the show by talking about what this final tournament means to her, especially as she gets to play at home. “It’s super cool,” Amoore says. “Given the ability to host, it’s really good tournament-wise. … It obviously creates an advantage.” But just to “give the people what they’ve been missing out on” might be what excites Amoore the most.
