Coach Jones goes into depth about finding Grow Our Game and her mission behind the company:

“I’ve been coaching girls basketball for the last 18 years. So, I know, I maybe don’t look as old as I really am. But next month, I actually turned 40. And so, I was lucky enough to start my coaching career at New York University. At first, at was an assistant women’s basketball coach for four years. And during that period, I also received an opportunity to get involved in grassroots girls basketball at Riverside Church. So, it was a great experience.

Again, after coaching at NYU, I continued again to pursue my own personal career as an athletics administrator and went from working for the vice president at NYU to then working as an athletic director at the Harlem Children’s Zone. Now I’m actually a manager over at Riverbank State Park, which is very, very interesting because it gives me the time and flexibility to pursue my passion, for empowering young girls through sport.”
