Megdal opens the show by sharing how Clark reflected on her performance, and specifically on how things changed in the game’s second half. “We have a lot of great players that can score on this team,” Clark said. The role for Caitlin, and the rest of the rest of the team, is “to help rebound, run hard, and do what [I] can when [I’m] in the game.”

After breaking down more of Clark’s performance, Megdal then moves on to describing one of the more uplifting aspects of the Fever’s first performance. That would be Kelsey Mitchell. “Playing 16 minutes and 37 seconds, she looks like herself,” Megdal says. “Kelsey was out there figuring it out, making sure that people understood that she is very much the quick, effective guard that she has been throughout her career.”
Megdal closes out the show with some reflections from Coach Sides as well as Mitchell herself. “For me,” Mitchell says, reflecting on returning to the game, “it’s about taking the steps to feel good. I feel good, my body feels good.”
