Locked on Women’s Basketball: Indiana Fever, where change is the constant
Carlos Knox certainly grabbed the attention of this Fever roster because he has a lot of player development background
It’s time for another episode of the Locked on Women’s Basketball podcast. This one features host Jackie Powell and Tony East, beat reporter for the Indiana Fever. The two discuss the recent changes in Indiana. And what to expect from new head coach Carlos Knox.
Tony speaks about the Carlos Knox era and what that might look like for the Fever:
“Yeah 101 points their season high first half points their highest and a half all season. And I imagine those will hold for a while but you know Carlos Knox certainly grabbed the attention of this Fever roster both because he has a lot of player development background. His claim to fame in Indy for a while was that he worked a lot with Tamika Catchings, Katie Douglas and a bunch of NBA players as well.”

Tony talks about Kelsey Mitchell and what she has done for the Fever this season:
“She played for Athletes Unlimited this offseason. And then also played for Team USA. I think those two settings of playing with different talent. And learning from players who play better than her really kind of helped some stuff for her in a way that’s been really meaningful because her scoring has been insane this season near 20 points per game [19.4] right now.”
