Maryland women’s basketball has hired Jessica Imhof as the Director of Scouting and Player Development, the program announced Friday. According to a release, Imhof will oversee advanced scouting, game planning, and organization of game film. She will also assist with practice preparation.

“It is an honor to join the Maryland women’s basketball team and athletic community,” Imhof said. “The standard of excellence that Coach Frese has established here is inspirational and I’m looking forward to helping the program with continued success. Maryland is the perfect blend of academics and athletics, and I am grateful Coach Frese has provided me the opportunity to work alongside her and the incredible staff she’s assembled.”

Imhof previously spent one year as the Director of Scouting and Video Operations at North Carolina and one year as the Director of Basketball Operations at Princeton. She also spent three seasons as a Video Coordinator at Virginia Commonwealth, two as a Graduate Assistant at Elmira College, and one as an Assistant Coach at The College of New Jersey.

Imhof played four years for TCNJ, graduating in 2012 after posting 12.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game during her senior season.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to our Maryland family,” Frese said. “She has built an incredible resume and is someone who will hit the ground running in our program. She is going to bring so much to our team and program. She is so talented, experienced, and advanced in the game and I can’t wait to have her by our side day in and day out. She’s a rising star and we are so excited she has decided to join our staff to help us compete to be the very best.”

The hire adds to a list of changes the program has made to its coaching staff this offseason. On September 2, Frese promoted former WBCA Assistant of the Year Karen Blair to Associate Head Coach. In May, Frese promoted Lindsey Spann from Director of Video Operations to Interim Assistant Coach. Former Assistant Shay Robinson will not return for the 2020-21 season after accepting the same position with Ole Miss in April. Robinson had been with the program since 2014.
