Locked on Women’s Basketball: Kiki Iriafen shines against Florida State, Hannah Jump’s defensive growth
Nation's best WNBA draft prospect performances from the last week
On today’s episode of Locked on Women’s Basketball, host Em Adler is joined by Lincoln Shafer to analyze the best draft prospect performances from the last week of action, including dives into Stanford’s Kiki Iriafen, Hannah Jump and Cameron Brink, as well Florida State’s Ta’Niya Latson, UCLA’s Kiki Rice and more.
Em and Lincoln begin by discussing Stanford’s 100-88 win over then-No. 13 Florida State.
“It would be a crime to talk about this game and not mention Kiki Iriafen, who was very likely the best player in the game,” Lincoln said. “She had 30 points and 17 rebounds, seven offensive rebounds. And there were also some really interesting passing flashes out of the high post from her that are things I hadn’t seen before. She’s making skips to the corner from the high post. And just — she’s a very good basketball player.”

Later, Em talks about Kiki Rice‘s performance during UCLA’s 78-67 victory over UConn.
“As a defensive coordinator…you can’t stop everything. And you say, ‘if they do this, you tip your cap.’ If Kiki is gonna hit three pull-up threes in the first quarter when [UConn guard Paige Bueckers] goes under on ball screens, you tip your cap — there’s really nothing you can do,” Em said.
